The Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 require Local Government Pension Scheme administering authorities to prepare and publish Statements of Investment Principles. The Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 came into force on 9 August 2002 and require administering authorities to publish a revised statement by 30 September 2002 setting out the extent to which they comply with the tenprinciples of investment practice outlined in the Myners Review of Institutional Investment in the UK.
This Statement is reviewed each year in the light of any new policy developments. This is Lancashire County Council's statement made in response to the requirement and has been produced following consultation with the Fund's Investment Advisory Panel, including a representative of the Fund's Actuary.
